Malaysian teenager Zhang Dameng did not expect his shyness from others to lead him to face adversity and cause him many problems.
The 18-year-old Zhang, who lost his way back to his new home in Singapore, has been wandering the streets for 10 days because he is shy about asking others how to get to his destination.
Zhang traveled from Malaysia to Singapore to look for work, shared an apartment with a friend, and on the day he disappeared, he had $ 37, used part of it for lunch at a nearby restaurant.
But the shock came after Zhang left for the restaurant. He had a hard time getting home, and he began to roam the streets looking for the house. To make matters worse, Zhang left his phone and his passport at home, thinking he would return immediately after lunch.
The feeling of extreme shyness put the teenager in a bind because he did not dare ask passers-by about the right directions to his home, and he roamed the streets for 10 days.
On the tenth day of his absence from the house, a resident identified Zhang from a friend's announcement of his loss and informed the authorities. Police found the young man in a playground 6 kilometers from the house.
